What age groups are creative birthday parties suitable for? 

Kids’ parties at the Mud Rooms are suitable for groups of 6-7 children of 11-year-old and up. 

Do you provide all the materials? 

Yes, all the clay, tools and facilities are included. Children will need to wear messy clothes and an apron they’ve brought from home.

How much help do the children receive? 

Children will receive as much help as they need while being given the space and freedom to create an original masterpiece they can feel proud to call their own.  

Can parents relax while the party is taking place?

We have a tea and coffee station for parents who stick around and there’s a sofa area in which to relax. We do ask that at least one parent stays for the duration of the party. 

What happens at a children's birthday party at The Mud Rooms?

Children make two pieces at one of our pottery parties. A hand built piece (decided on before hand) and a small bowl on the wheel. The hand built item could be a chip and dip bowl, a trinket tray, a tea light holder… we have lots of ideas and will discuss with you before the day.
